Eligibility Criteria for ETO Course:
Educational Qualification:
A Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication/Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized institution.
OR Completed a Marine Engineering course (like B.E./B.Tech in Marine Engineering or equivalent).
OR Hold a Class IV Marine Engineer Officer Certificate of Competency (CoC) with relevant experience.
Experience Requirements:
For Engineers: At least 12 months of sea service as an Engine Cadet or Junior Engineer on a vessel with an electrical propulsion system.
For Non-Engineers: Candidates with an electrical/electronics background may need additional maritime training.
Medical Fitness:
Must hold a valid Medical Fitness Certificate (ENG1 or equivalent) as per STCW (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping) regulations.
STCW Certifications:
Basic Safety Training (BST)
Security Awareness Training (if applicable)
High Voltage (HV) Safety Course (recommended for advanced roles)
